Who we are
Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors head office is situated in Tain, this is a prime location for us to be able to serve Dornoch, Invergordon, Alness and surrounding areas. Due to our expanding business in 2012 we were proud to announce the opening of our second branch in Dingwall, we are now able to serve families on a much wider scale including Easter Ross, Sutherland, Inverness and the surrounding areas.
We took the decision to open our office in Dingwall rather than in Inverness itself due to the ever increasing costs of
running a business in a city, in doing so we are able to not only offer the best funeral service with care and distinction but also at a more competitive price.
Over the years Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors have built a reputation throughout the highlands for a quality and dignified service. The company prides itself on the personal and meticulous attention given to every detail, from the moment you first get in touch with Alasdair. One of the biggest factors in achieving this level of service is due to Alasdair's eldest son Jack who is responsible for running the everyday duties supported by our team of funeral assistants and drivers this allows Alasdair to take care of all the planning but more importantly being there to support and encourage the deceased's loved ones.
What to expect from us
When a death occurs it is always a difficult time to know what to do first. We can help you by being available 24 hours a day 365 days of the year. Some people do not like to call a funeral director during the night, however this is the time when you need the most support from someone who knows what steps need to be taken.
Initially Alasdair himself will arrange to call at your home or meet with you at the office whichever is most convenient to you. He will first talk you through what to expect in the difficult days to come and what options are available to you. He will then gather all the required information to allow him to undertake the necessary arrangements for you.
We can arrange the funeral service in your own Church, or Parish Church, Crematorium, at the deceased's own home or even a simple but very personal service at the graveside, all with the precise attention to detail and utmost dignity that you require at this sad time.
A funeral is the last chance to say goodbye to a loved one and it will be a very emotional time. It is of paramount importance that the arrangements are carefully considered. We are professionals in the funeral service industry employing dedicated nurses to care for the deceased and we pride ourselves in offering a fully comprehensive range of services with unparalleled levels of personal service.
We can advise on a gathering after the service including suitable venues and catering arrangements and also on floral tributes or charitable donations.
We pride ourselves in providing a bespoke funeral service, if you can't find what you are looking for within our web site pages please do not hesitate to contact either of our Funeral Homes for assistance.
Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors have a genuine wish to offer a helping hand, so often lacking on these sad occasions. It is not our policy to impose a sense of urgency or apply undue pressure on you or your family at this sad time. We realise it is important for many people to reflect the personality and character of the deceased within the arrangements and this often requires time and thought to do so.
