Colin, Jock, Margo and the family would like to thank most sincerely all friends and neighbours for the many beautiful flowers, cards, messages of sympathy, love and support which have been a wonderful source of comfort and encouragement following the death of our dear Gillian. Grateful thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of Lairg Medical Practice, the community nurses for their outstanding care and support. Heartfelt thanks to Rev. John Lamont for his uplifting service and to all who paid their respects at Lairg Parish Church and at Lairg Cemetery. Thanks to Fiona Heggie from Blooms from Burnside for the flowers and to the piper David Fraser who played at the graveside. Thanks are also expressed to The Pier for the refreshments at Lairg Community Hall. Many thanks, also, for the very kind donations to The Palliative Care Team NHS Highland which amounted to £1942.85.

Pauline, Avril and their families would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, by way of cards, flowers and messages, following the sad loss of their mother Rena. Grateful thanks to Jack, Shirley and the staff of Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors for all their help and the professional service they provided; Alasdair Mackay for his graveside service; William Mackay for the eulogy; Katie from Glenflora for the stunning flower arrangement and The Pier, Lairg, who very kindly did the catering after the service. Very special thanks go to Drs Marshall, Smith and Gordon, Lairg Health Centre and the Community Nurses, Golspie, for their excellent care of Rena and the support they gave the family. Finally a big thank you to everyone who took the time to pay their last respects and for your generous donations amounting to £557 for St Duthus Special School.
Forbes (Newton by Tain):
Mary and the family of the late Alastair “Sandy” Forbes would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy and support extended to them following their recent sad loss. Sincere thanks to all who attended the funeral service and for their kind donations to Alzheimer’s Day Care, Tain. Special thanks and gratitude to Rev Alistair Drummond for delivering a comforting service and to Sandy’s grandson Donal for piping. Thanks to the staff at the Inverness Crematorium, the Loch Ness Country House Hotel for the refreshments and Velvet Shore Blooms for the floral tribute. Heartfelt thanks to the medical and care staff that looked after Sandy from July 2025 through his short stay at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, three months at the County Community Hospital, Invergordon and latterly at the Innis Mhor Care Home, Tain. The family would also like to thank Jack Rhind and the staff at Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors for their sensitivity and professionalism while arranging and conducting Sandy’s funeral.
Lippok (Tain):
Ehrentraut and the family of the late Paul Lippok would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy and love received in so many ways following their very sad loss. Thanks to all friends for paying their last respects at the church and graveside. A special thanks and gratitude to Bishop Rt. Rev. Hugh Gilbert OSB, Fr Derick McCulloch, all the clergy and alter servers that attended the Requiem Mass and concelebrated such a beautiful service at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church. Sincere thanks to friend and piper Duncan Macgillivray for giving Paul a wonderful send-off at the church and graveside. Thank you to Graham and the staff at Platform 1864 for the excellent food and hospitality afterwards. Sincere thanks also to Jack and all the staff at Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors for all the sensitive and efficient arrangements. The generous amount of £455 was raised in Paul’s memory, and has been donated to the Benedictine Sisters of Our Lady of Grace and Compassion, to help their schools in Kenya and Uganda.
Robertson (Tain):
The family of the late George Robertson would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy extended to them following their recent sad loss. Heartfelt thanks to all at Tain and Fearn Area Medical Practice, along with the staff at the Single Point Access Team and the individual carers who supported and cared for George so very well over the last 3 years, Grateful thanks to Lorna Clarke for the comforting service, to Piper Iain Macgillivray for his sensitive playing and to the Platform 1864 for their excellent refreshments. Sincere thanks to all who joined with us at the Cemetery to pay their last respects. Thanks are also to due to Heather MacRae who at short notice sensitively played ‘Welcome to The Bothy’ with her accordion, to close the service. We would also like to thank Jack Rhind and the staff at Alasdair Rhind Funeral Directors for their support and for arranging the funeral so professionally. Finally, thank you for all the kind donations for Blooming Gardeners which amounts to £700.
